In order to authenticate with OAuth and interact with the Patreon API, you'll have to register your Client(s). This involves signing up on patreon.com and making a creator account. Register your client here. Once you've registered a Client you'll have access to a: Client ID - Used to identify your application/tool with the client you registered.
1. Create a Patreon Account. If you are already a member of Patreon, you just need to log in to your account, navigate to your Settings menu, and select Become a Creator. If you are completely new to the site, on the other hand, you can simply click the Start My Page button on the Patreon home page.
Deleting your Patreon will erase all of your data from Patreon. Deleting your account is not a replacement for cancelling a membership, or any pending payments on your account. If you're a patron, you can delete any active memberships you have and still keep your account.

The Patreon help page notes that while deleting your account erases your data from the platform, it is not a replacement for canceling active memberships or pending payments on your account.
The only time I've ever heard of Patreon was on Joanna Penn's podcast, so I considered it an audio-only platform. I'm glad to see that I was wrong on that account, and look forward to trying out my own Patreon campaign! Thanks for a great post.
